Area Spotlight: Equipment Checkout

Equipment Checkout, or affectionately referred to as EQC, is a fun department to work in. While you might not be in the middle of all the action, you have some of the biggest responsibilities to keep everything moving smoothly. Several responsibilities of EQC employees are

-Communicating with the facilities staff regulalrly to see if they need more clean towels, or need to send down a full bin of dirty ones.

-Washing dirty hand, face and pool towels and folding clean ones. As well as making sure there’s enough towels on each floor.

-Loaning out equipment such as video game controllers, racquetball supplies and ping pong paddles and balls.

-Cashiering for campus rec merchandise (anything from hoodies to chapstick). 

Working in EQC would be great for a person who is familiar with working in a retail environment, is organized and has good interpersonal skills. If you’re interested in learning more, our last info session is tomorrow night from 7-8:30 in the multipurpose room. See ya there!
